My top 5 FAVE career & job search blogs to tweet…

Many people who follow me on Twitter are either following me for the job search articles and blogs that I share, or the ever so entertaining conversations of the #latenightcrowd night owls.  When I meet people IRL (in real life) from twitter, I hear so many compliments on the information I tweet regarding job search.  And while I’m thrilled that people are paying attention to what I’m sharing, I feel a bit guilty.   I’m not the one creating this information.  I am reading it and sharing it, in hopes that it will be valuable to someone who may need it.  But I can not take the credit for these resources.

So to release this annoying feeling of guilt for unintentionally marketing myself through other people’s work, I’d like to share my top five favorite online resources for career & job search tweeting.

(In no particular order)

  1. Business Insider, War Room
The section Hiring & Firing not only has excellent career and job information, but is incredibly entertaining.  The writers are hilarious!
  2.

  3. ere.net
This online community of Human Resources and Recruiting professionals has given me so much continuing education and insight into my own career.  I feel that job seekers and career professionals should keep up with this information as well.  It’s always beneficial to have the inside scoop.
  4.

  5. Alison Doyle – About.com
I have no idea how she has the time, energy and resources to provide as much information as she does!  The amount of information you’ll find here is incredible!  Everything you need to know about job search, she shares.  Seriously, this is not a promo for Alison because I know her…I don’t think we’ve ever even exchanged a tweet!  Not that I wouldn’t be thrilled to know her!  I’m one of her biggest fans!
  6.

  7. Wall Street Journal Online ~ Careers
I started reading WSJ online in 2007.  (yes, I’m a late bloomer)  I’ve found it to be a great resource for unbiased information on job search and the economy.
Wall Street Journal Online ~ Hire Education
Follow college seniors as they look for work in a tough job market.
  8.

  9. New Grad Life
This is my newest discovery.  For the last year I’ve been working with college students and new grads on career advising and found this blog to be a great referral source for them to get updated information.

There are many more blogs and articles that I stumble on and share, but these 5 are the ones that I have found to be the most consistent.
